We are very proud and excited about the success of the 2012 Inaugural Tournament of Races in Brantford.  We set out with a number of achievable goals that included introducing a year-long race roster which would help raise funds for local charities and community projects.  Our vision has been applauded and many participants, sponsors and charities came together to support this new running series.  For all of your support and dedication to our races we thank you and look forward to another successful year in 2013.  Together we raised thousands of dollars for many local charities, scholarships, and community projects.

The city of Brantford, Ontario has a rich running history, including races such as the Ontario 10K Championships, the Tom Longboat Road Races, The Run for the Arts, The Wayne Gretzky  9.9K road race and the Boston to Brantford Half Marathon. However, never before had it been host to a series of races for the competitive and recreational running community.  The Brantford Tournament of Races is the answer to that calling.

Brantford is recognized internationally as “The Telephone City”. Brantford is also the hometown of “the Great One,” hockey superstar Wayne Gretzky.  Wayne was an active participant in the Brantford Track & Field Club during his youth. Brantford is acknowledged as the “Tournament Capital of Ontario” and the Brantford Tournament of Races is the newest Tournament gaining popularity among running enthusiasts.  Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in the series at any race to earn prizes, medals and points in the series.  At the end of the year we host a banquet, award series prizes and make cheque presentations to our charity partners.  We look forward to seeing you at the races!

With Brantford situated in the heart of South Western Ontario, it is easily accessible from cities in all directions, including London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Toronto and St. Catherine’s.  We welcome runners from all over Ontario and beyond to join us and take part in our races; extending a challenge to run in as many as you can.
